Entry 72, Immigrant's Journey

I believe that her experience of immigrating over, or having parents that did from India, I would not have any connection with the author mainly because we have never immigrated anywhere. I have not lived in the states, nor did my family ever did, so it would be hard to establish any connections between us. I believe that even if we didn’t move to different countries, we still have certain similarities as we both learn different languages other than our mother tongue. I believe that this quotation is very profound and I believe that it is true, that immigrating is hard as you leave behind your culture and your family, but I am more on the side of the fact that the rewards are much greater than what you have abandoned in the previous country you lived in. I believe that I don’t have as much connection with this as well because I have never immigrated anywhere nor have my family ditched a country for another. That is the main reason why I cannot connect with the author as well as other people because I have yet experienced this maneuver of away from our mother countries.
