Entry 5, Journey
I have seen alot of movies in my life, but one of my favorite movie of all time, is a movie called Falling Down directed by Joel Schumacher. This movie is about a frustrated man that is trying to go home, and his journey on his way to see his daughter. He was stuck in L.A traffic, and he just got out of his car, and started hiking home. This is no ordinary journey, this man has anger problems. He encounters with many types of people causing the complications of his conflicts. He crossed gang territories, and took weapons, fought some people and all he doesn't get is why are people always getting in his way. He wanted everyone to get out of his way so he can go see his daughter who he is forbidden from seeing due to his psychological problems. Cops were chasing this man, but he does not get caught until the very end of the story. Technically he was never caught, he died. I think this man did not really learn anything, on the way, there were people killed, people that felt scared because of him. At last, he just gave up, he just accepted the truth of all the miserable things in life that he is facing, and just gave up. I feel as if I am going through a journey right now. I am growing up, learning new things, trying new things, experiencing life. I think this journey wouldn't end until I reach a point where I am so old I need a cane to carry myself around with. I want this journey to be rich , successful, and fulfilling. I will be looking back 70 years later, looking back at the foolish person I am today, thinking, "wow, I was that type of person back then?" Until that point, my journey wouldn't end. This on going journey will be full of surprises.
